  • NERF Action Xperience

    Being the world’s first, there was a need to raise awareness for NERF Action Xperience and generate buzz to surround this exciting launch. In order to generate buzz for NERF Action Xperience, we demonstrated how this indoor arena would enhance NERF battles and play experience, removing it from the realm of imagination and transforming it into reality.

    Our strategy for NERF Action Xperience played out in two phases. Keeping in mind that NERF products are not new to the Singaporean market, we used a teaser to hype up the campaign and entice existing NERF fans before the official launch of the arena. The official launch was massive, and so we matched it with a film that had NERF Action Xperience’s play zones as the hero element. We also created other collaterals, including the NERF Action Xperience website to facilitate the seamless process to get from knowing about NERF Action Xperience to purchasing tickets.

    With more and more people being classified as senior citizens in our society, there is a need to shift perceptions of the elderly. On top of that, there is an accompanying misconception that all senior citizens are old, weak, and frail. We thus sought to correct such common misunderstandings in order to bridge the gap between the young and old in Singapore.

    We produced a series of videos that embody the notion that age doesn’t matter when we live life to the fullest. Through linking a youth to an elderly, we showed how relationships can be formed between the young and old, and how young people can be pleasantly surprised by the lifestyles of our seniors. As the youth spent time with their elderly buddy and documented it in various forms (vlogs, illustrations, and photographs), this experience opened their eyes and demonstrated how we should all spend our lives living ー young or old.

  • Boncafé

    Boncafé has been in the market for years because of their passion for providing the perfect cup of coffee and tea for generations and beyond. It has also always kept its design packaging in line with their branding and the products they offer. This time around, Boncafé commissioned ZOO Group to develop a limited edition coffee packaging targeting tourists visiting Singapore. The intent was for the product to be offered within the hotel in-room/suites and souvenir & gift shops located within hotel premises across the country.

    Taking inspiration from Singapore’s heartlands and its cityscape that we’re all familiar with, ZOO Group collaborated with one of Singapore’s well-known illustrators, Lee Kow Fong, AKA Ah Guo in creating the illustration for Boncafé’s design packaging. The painting kept Ah Guo’s popular colourful style with his iconic characters, which include penguins, hedgehogs, and rabbits. He applied his whimsical technique to the design to appeal to both young and old.

    It didn’t take long for the product to garner much praise that Boncafé eventually also made them available online and at selected retail stores. The design was also used for other merchandise such as t-shirts, tote bags, etc.

    Following the previous campaign, cybersecurity is often viewed as an intimidating and time-consuming chore that many do not see as necessary or convenient. There’s a need to demonstrate how adopting cybersecurity measures do not have to be intimidating or taxing to Singaporeans.

    In order to help Singaporeans adopt good cybersecurity habits easily, we created a campaign that simplified cybersecurity jargon that may be too complex to understand. The treatment of the creative materials was kept minimal and colour-coded to aid habit recall. We used everyday situations to draw a parallel comparison to why it is important to protect ourselves when we go online.
